Amanda Collier, School Social Worker

Amanda Collier

Mrs. Collier is a biracial (Trinidadian and European) mental health professional. She is a proud licensed independent clinical social worker with expertise in culturally specific, dual diagnosis, and trauma responsive modalities of mental health services. Mrs. Collier’s experience over the past 10 years has included serving in senior leadership roles, providing direct services as a psychotherapist, community based faculty, within community based non-profits, universities, clinics and schools. As an experienced practitioner she provides board approved clinical supervision and training, to professionals working towards degrees and or licensure at the bachelors and master’s level. Clinically, she has enjoyed working with youth, families, and communities for years. However, she feels her most important roles include being a wife and a mother of twins.

Amanda was born and raised in Minneapolis, and is a proud graduate of MPS she attended Ramsey International Fine Arts Center and Washburn Sr. High School. Mrs. Collier has a Masters of Social Work from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Michigan State University-East Lansing.

Amanda has a huge passion for helping people discover and grow into who they want to be. She is excited to work with the Harrison Education Center students, families, community, staff and leadership team.
